Hi all, first post here so be gentle!
I'm a complete novice at this so here's what i need to do.
We've got an immersion heater in a cupboard in the bedroom. It has a switch on the wall next to it with a wire leading to the tank.
When we want hot water I switch it on, wait for a bit, then switch it off, and voila, hot water! However if i forget to switch it on, the wife gets annoyed!
I've bought a timer which looks like it'll do the job i need, although i thought it would be a replacement for this switch, but it takes the switch wire as an input and then feeds the heater itself.
My question is, the existing wire is rather short, there's no way i can feed it into this new timer then back into the heater. Now i know there's loads of different power cable ratings, so i need to know which one i need to be able to take the load ok.
Thanks in advance.
