Just had a new bathrrom installed. Electrician was employed by the plumber to install a new shaver socket, light/fan above the shower and new ceiling light.

Is this work certifiable by the new part P? If so, is there something I need to get from the electrician or it is all taken care of at his end?

Thanks

the electrician should notify via his scheme (niceic, napit, elecsa, etc), if he is not in a scheme, he should have told the council before hand, but I believe in this case there would already be a building notice open for the bathroom (unless plumbers have a self cert scheme for bathrooms?)

Anyway either way you should have received a copy of the cert, its required by BS7671 which he should be working to (required by schemes, and building control would have to have a good reason to allow him to deviate, as would you...)

Yes the work is notifiable. Assuming the electrician is a member of a self certification scheme, then you should receive a minor works certificate from the electrician, and a certificate of notification from either your LABC or the certification scheme company.
