Radiator Auto Bleeder

Great for people who don't know how or why to bleed a rad, but for everyone else wouldn't it be better to identify WHY they need bleeding often enough for this to be worthwhile?

Absolutely not, you should instead be diagnosing why the radiator needs bleeding a lot. I would hazard a guess that the system is either drawing air in through an open vent, or corroding

Two observations other than the one already stated:

1/. If it does it's job, you might not become aware of a potential problem which needs fixing.

2/. Automatic things are more likely to break than manual things. You've only got to look on here for a few days before coming across a prv that continues to pass water due to it getting a bit of crud in it. When that happens, at least the water will be jettisoned externally. Imagine a bit of crud getting into an automatic venting valve on a radiator in a nicely decorated and carpeted room while you've gone away for a few days on holiday
