Removing grout

Is there an easy way to remove the grout between tiles in my shower?

I bought a high tensile steel tool, but the sharp end mounted in rubber keeps falling out if I put any real pressure on it?

Stanley knife. Cut into both edges of grout line separately, then it hacks out easily. I also use an electrical test screwdriver to scrape it out. You will also need elbow grease. How much grout you remove depends on whether you are removing it to replace a tile or just re-grout dirty grout. I use a folded edge of sandpaper for the latter.

If only a small area, one of those small metal bottle openers, with a point on. Plumbers always carry a bottle opener!
