I am looking to replace an electric hob with a gas one, in order to get a gas supply to the new hob I would need to tee off an existing gas pipe very close to the point at which it feeds a combi boiler.

Is this advisable? Would the gas supply to the combi boiler be affected when the hob is in operation?

Thanks for any advice on this matter!

It all depends on the lengths and sizes of the gas pipes and the power taken by the boiler and the hob.

The CORGI who you get to fit the gas pipe will do the calculations to see what pipe sizes are required.
