Having recently sat in a friends conservatory fitted with Pilkington K glass I have decided it is time to change ours to K glass.
I have a 4 X 4.5m north facing conservatory which was built in 2008 with ordinary double glazing and a polycarbonate (6 box section thick).
I telephoned a local FENSA registered company and explain I just want to replace the sealed glass units with K glass ones. He suggested the cheapest way forward was to split my existing units and replace the outer pane of glass with K glass, reseal and refit.
Does this sound like normal practice or are there other options.
Many thanks for your thoughts
Derek
