replacing washer help!

Hi,

I need to replace the washer on my bathroom hot water tap, but all the instructions I find are for new taps. This tap is about 20 years old.

Can any one help please?

those taps are called supertaps, (yeh I know), and you get the head off by undoing that big nut below the H, you will then need a special washer, (I think they have a brass seating attatched to them), but you'll need to go to a propper plumbing outlet for them.

Most people just change the taps but beware as these type of taps have a longer tail to them than most modern taps so some extension to the supply pipework may be needed if you go down that rout but if there is plenty of up and down movement on the pipes you should be ok.
