having tiled the bathroom, and I admit it took 7 weeks, I now have a lot of grout residue on the tiles that has set sort of solid and streaky. I suppose I should have cleaned as I was doing it, but I  didn't. So what's the best thing to remove it? I have tried a scouring pad, glass cleaner, bath mousse, etc. Is there any one product that is brilliant for this job??

Most tile merchants sell a cement film remover which usually gets rid of the dusty like surface. Larger 'chunks' should be 'chiseled' off with a hard plastic edge first. As with all cleaners, test a small area first. Cheaper tiles with a poor finish can 'absorb' some cleaners and cause further discolouring.
