I want to replace the faulty room themostat in my lad's house.
presently he has a Honeywell 3 wired one of 20 years+.
The obvious replacement is a Honeywell 6360, but I need to know whether the 6360B with an "anticipator" is worthwhile or just the 6360 without.
Can you please advise.

If it has an anticipator you need to use it otherwise the heating will be on an off like a yo yo.
Thanks for the reply. I don't know if the old one has one or whether the technoloogy was around then.
What I want to know is whether to buy one with or without an anticipator. Not really knowing what one is.

If it a 3 wire, and one is a neutral, then it has one.

It is effectively just a little heater that stabilises the temperature so that the heating doesn't bounce on and off.

If in doubt, get a DT90e and use just two wires. Making the third safe.

Just swapped our antique with a Honeywell CM907. Brilliant move, IMHO!
