Running pipework down walls

If you have a girder running down the wall and you was to fit central heatinf pipework running down the side of it, what should be the correct distance away from the girder be. Should the pipes be fitted well away from the girder or can they run along side of it.

What should the distance between the hot and cold pipes be when fitting.

No specific distance; they shouldn't be touching.
