Is it possible to run radiators of an existing back boiler that supplies hot water ?

I am not reliant on the back boiler for hot water as I have an immersion heater, but would like to have radiators running off it, instead of relying on storage heaters.

Is it a big job for a plumber?

Yes.....big job. Pipe runs, rads fixed, new pipework around cylinder and new valves/controls, thermostat and wiring, F&E tank.......shall i go on?

You will have a problem as your installation will be classed as a new installation and therefore subject to the current regulations, which insist on a condensing boiler. Your back boiler will have to be replaced.

Thanks for your replies.

I asked the question on behalf of a friend, he is very impressed with the speed and knowledge off you both.

Keep up the good work... ;)
