Can anyone help!!!!!!

I have a Santon unvented water system, unfortunately the hot water pressure is very poor.

My incoming pressure is about 2.5 bar when tap closed and 1 bar when tap open.

The tank is located on the third floor.

Could it be simply the expansion vessel has insufficient pressure or could it be something more serious?

Is a simple hand pump sufficient to recharge vessel?

Many thanks

Joe

Many thanks for the answers, the system was ok when we moved in, but the pressure has subsided over time approx 2 years.

The strainer was cleaned out by a plumber but I am not sure he had any experience with unvented systems.

The property is up near Chester, not sure what to do next. But a dribbling shower is now becoming really annoying.

I am in a mews terrace, I seem to be the only property suffering water issues.

Sounds like I need professional help?

Sounds to me that your incoming pressure is a contributing factor.

Also each storey of your property will reduce the incoming pressure by 0.3 Bar approx, so any taps on the 3rd floor will just about dribble.

You could check the strainer is clear in the PRV assembly.

shouldn't think expansion vessel is the problem it sounds like a blockage
any G3 (unvented) engineer should be able to help
when did you last have the cylinder checked?
i'm in southampton PM me if your in that area and need someone to look at it

expansion vessel will not affect pressure
is this a new problem
has it been alright in the past
how long has it been installed
what is the working flow rate, for a unit fitted on a 3rd floor you will need at least 3bar working pressure with a working flow rate of 20L min taken at ground level
is the incoming water main 15 or 22mm

1 bar working pressure is not enough pressure for an unvented unit
