Providing you're not using the shed for running a business or storing goods in connection with a business and the shed is not higher than 4 metres, (3 metres high for a flat roof) and does not take up more than 50% of your garden.

Also if your shed is more than 10 cubic metres in volume then it must be 5 metres away from the house.

This is the building regs. I wouldn't worry but if you are then pop down to your local planning for a free advice to assure you, then explains to the neighbour if you want to. :)

My next door has put up a garage wall in front of my kitchen window approx 5' and there's nothing I can do about it. Hasn't made any difference to the light in the kitchen.
