If 15 mm copper pipes are installed in a bathroom behind plasterboard on the wall and under the wooden flooring, should the copper piping be covered with some form of lagging?

If so, should I look for something specific with regards to lagging?

Thanks.

I'm intending to have 15mm copper piping installed in the bathroom.

Though, just out of curiosity, if 15mm plastic piping is installed, should lagging be applied to this? I ask as much of the water piping currently in my house is plastic, none of which has lagging.

It's best practice to lag all supply pipes regardless of material and conforms to building regs

its a bit of a myth that plastic pipe is somehow better insulated than copper, its often an excuse cited by plumbers, but it can make a massive difference, particularly on radiator pipes
