Shower mixer, the flow dial only turns a little bit.

evening last time i posted about the wall hung toilet i got so many useful advice and actually fixed it.

so we have this (AXOR) shower mixer, the top dial which is the flow only now turns about a quarter of a turn, so water isnt that strong.

there is a grub screw underneath which i didnt want to do and break something, also to get the face plate of there is a space underneath for a screwdriver, i had a light wiggle of it and it looks as it the plate and the dials are coming off so i stopped.

is there a way to check anything, grub screw then dial off? or face plate off?

If there’s a grub screw, it’s usually this off first, then handle should come off.

If it is that shower (looks like it) then that flow valve is only meant to turn a 1/4 turn (ceramic valve)

There may be something else restricting the flow that might need checked - filters, the thermo cartridge or the non return valves

morning all, thanks for all the replies, im going to order part 17, the shut off valve, when i said it moves quarter of a turn it actually doesnt, if it was a clock it would only move back as far as 55 on the clock face and i dont want to force it.

to replace the shut off valve is there anything else i need or its just the case of swapping those out once the cover has been removed?

Yup, water off, old one out, replace with new one.
