I have a gainsbrough gs500 mixer , my combi water temp is set to max, the mixer is not adjustable. My shower water is not quite hot enough! The basin next to the shower is much hotter. Do I need to restrict the cold flow to the mixer to fix this or is there something else I can do?

Is the shower a new installation? It will have a temperature adjustment and should tell you how to adjust in the installation manual. If not, contact Gainborough and they will tell you how to make the adjustment.
