If you have a means of measuring voltage and know how to use it then you can find out if power is getting to the shower unit and fault-find from there, but it will involve opening the casing and exposing live parts. If you are at all unsure about this please call a professional.

how old is shower? if 5 years or more time for a new shower, get same model as you have for ease of replacing.
an electric shower is basically a big kettle in a different "box" like kettles they get furred up, but unlike a kettle you cant un fur it.
