my sime super 80- mk11 keep turning off if its left off for a few hours it will come back on but when trying it after it goes off it dont fire up, preessure overheating what u think thnx
Pressure Guage reads 1.5 bar (just over the dark blue bar).
Temp = just over 0 degrees celcius.
Followed procedure from manual.
Open D.H.W valve (vertical), set switch to SUMMER, open D.H.W taps full, Turn on electricity supply, Turn switch to FLAME and back to SUMMER.
Goes through the motions according to the manual, but does not fire up.
Could it be the ignition electrode or something like that.
Had the SIME Super 90 MK2 for 5 Years. Recently had Heat exchange, expansion tank and safety valve replaced at xmas. Worked great for a while but now recurring problem is annoying.
I would appreciate any help or advice you can provide.
Bearing in mind that I cant see your boiler and don't have much info about what's going wrong.
A common fault on these is that the ignition PCB goes. It's a blue , sometimes red box on the side of your gas valve. Dont even think about replacing it yourself as it is often the fan which takes it out, [other parts can do it too] I did find one where the APS leads touched against the combustion chamber and melted causing a short. The parts are expensive so its time to crack open your piggy banks.
