Socket Height

I know the recocommended heights (450mm/1200mm) but what is the refence for the finished floor height, the concrete slab or the actual floor covering.

I ask as we haven't decided what to have, i.e. carpet which would be about 5mm or wood/tile which can be up to 35mm.

Well, you have a 750mm space to choose between, and it is the finished floor, so why not put the sockets at a height that will be OK with your thick wooden floor? They don't have to be exactly 450mm, they have to be min 450.

Thanks for the reply. Building control Surveyor confimed that the 450 was from the finished slab.
