Can anyone point me to a supplier of stainless steel kitchen plinths or 100mm wide strips to go over wooden plinths?
TIA, Stew.

Can't help with a source of supply for SS plinth covers but you could try a steel fabrication shop or boatyard/fitters for brushed SS strips cut to size. However, that very nice looking finish so popular in the kitchen nowadays it's a right ******** to clean & keep smear free! In our new kitchen, we’ve got a range cooker, extractor & a couple of side units in SS & have tried all the usual tricks; specialist cleaners, baby oil, baby wipes, etc. nothing really works & I wish we’d stuck to conventional stove enamel finish!

Stew - try Stellier Stainless Services in Redditch who make stuff to order; check out your areas Yellow Pages for a local company. Richard is correct to say that SS is chore to keep looking good, but Aro Kitchen Cleaner is brilliant at it - few squirts then damp cloth does the trick. Aro cleaners (for lots of different surfaces - their glass cleaner is first-rate) are available from Makro.
