Hi,

I have just bought a steam shower cabin, as per link below.

http://www.bauershower.co.uk/index.asp?function=DISPLAYPRODUCT&productid=41

And i have also bought a Showerforce easiboost pump, as per link below.

http://www.showerforce.com/ntpages/404-0504.pdf/$FILE/404-0504.pdf

Now my problem is that the shower cabin requires mains water to it as per the instructions because of the steam fascility, but the pump instructions state that no mains water should be attached to it.

Is there anything that i can buy to fit to the mains water to reduce it down so it's like the pressure from a tank fed.

thanks for any replies.

Stu.

Yes. You need a PRV (Pressure Reducing Device) (aka a PR Valve)

Here's a Caleffi one, as an example:

Cheers mate BIG help.

Just one last question, what pressure would i set the valve to ?

Well, that depends on the device that you're connecting the supply to, i.e. the steam generator.

See the installation instructions, or, if they're anything like the instructions that I've seen that come with steam pods then ring the supplier and ask them to specify the pressure, and make sure that they accept responsibility for getting it right.

I'd set the PRD/PRV limit to about 15% below whatever they say, just as a safety margin.
