Hi guys wonder if anyone can help. Looking at moving house and seen one we like that need loads of work doing to it. There is some cracks along the cable end which a survey has shown all the original wall ties need replacing. The other thing that has come up that has contributed to the cracks is the fact the joists ( house is on 3 levels ) since been built run the wrong way. These need strenghing. How do you do this??
The house is about 90/100 year old and I'm guessing the ceilings will need to come down or all floor boards up and strenghing the joists?? But with what and how?
I know you don't know the area covered but what sort of cost does this type of work entail?
Many thanks in advance

Your survey report should detail the work required and possible costs. If you only had a home buyer survey, then get a proper one done
