Switchmaster 900

Hi,

I have just moved into a new property that has a Switchmaster 900 to run the central heating (water heater is controlled seperately, i think). The Switchmaster doenst seem to be working as it is not rotating and stays at the same time. Is it possible to have the changed to a newer more modern system, possibly digital which controls the on/off time of the heating? I havent asked any plumbers yet but can it be done and would it be expensive

I live in london and dont know any friendly plumbers so run the risk of being ripped off.

Im reluctatn to purchase a system mylsef then have someone install incase the system I buy wont work
