Those have a ring at one end and standard open spanner at the other!

The ones I mean are a ring spanner with an opening! Called exactly as I said "open ended ring spanner"!

Sorry, I see what you mean. I have to disagree, they're feckin useless imo, anything tight and they splay out and slip.
 
I did say "if of good quality" !

Don't expect tools from the 99p shop to be of very good quality!

You can also use your angle grinder to make yourself an open ended ring spanner! They are quicker to use for undoing already loosened nuts on rad valves etc.

There were no such things as 99p shops in the days I used them tony. And if there had of been you wouldn't have found any 'BRITOOL' spanners in them, which were damm good quality and the ones I had. Still feckin useless.
