Hi Folks,

I have just bought my First Home and I have found that for some reason I am consuming allot of Oil.

I will describe my system as.

TRV on All Radiators
Hot Press / Hotwater Tank
Cold Water Storage Tank
Expansion Tank

(Oil Central Heating)

I am wondering if someone can advise me if this type of Thermostat
'Honeywell CMT907' would work? I have a Programable Timer on the wall but not a single thermostat in the house.

Do you think adding a Thermo would help?

A thermostat would help but it will need to have something to operate.
Do you have any motorised valves in the airing cupboard?

Hey,

All I found were two motor pumps for the HP in the airing cupboard.

Can I ask should I leave the TRV on High? I don't know if I should?

Like if the boiler runs continuious then me setting the TRV's to low will waste fuel?

Is there any way I can just replace the Timer on the Wall with a Timer + Thermostat?

You need to be able to control your HW separately from your CH.
You can use a programmable thermostat which has a timer in it, but that leaves the HW. You DO need the right valves, and wiring.
