Is it ok to drill a hole in a timber wall stub or joist to thread a copper heating pipe through? Is heat not an issue?

Yup....Nope.... (y)

Load bearing timber has specific locations as to where and how it can be drilled. Wall stud is not as much of an issue, just don't obviously weaken the timber.
