i have an application where a lady had an oven delivered, but, they would not fit it cos of ply lined walls (fire regulations). The ply appears to be woodstained and greasy but is fairly rigid. Can I tile onto this ply with some preparation or should i line with plasterboard and then tile. It is only the area behind the oven but i am not sure if i have to come above the oven with a tiled splashback to satisfy the regs. Ta john
