Does anyone have any experience of tiling over old floor tiles. Looking at using ceramic floor tiles rather than laminate or lino. Would like to get a rough idea of how much it would cost to get someone to do it as well. Am in the Berkshire area.
thanks :)

It can be done. What's the surface like on your tiles?
Price? What's the m2?

Thanks for your reply.

Its around 18m square (but its quite fiddly - that area includes a kitchen, a dog-leg corridor and a small bathroom. The surface is flat and seems well adhered.

I actually meant what's the surface of the tile...is it rough/glossy/matt finish?
Why not take them up and do it properly? Are the tiles on concrete or wood?

The tile surface is matt. I think the kitchen is area is tiled on board (its slightly raised - 4 inches or so, while the rest is on concrete.

4 inches?
To have it tiled, not having seen it, you're looking at around the £400 mark.
