 Ok, I'm a DIY virgin and seriously need help!! The overflow pipe from my toilet system is constantly running outside into the garden, as the ballcock (!?) when raised is not stopping the water filling the system. This i think is cos the blue "nut" (?) is leaking. Am going to attempt to replace the mechanism. Is this wise or stupid and if wise, how easy is it to do? Would really appreciate any help / advice!!

Thank you :D

Breezer - you are a star!!!

Going to go out and buy the stuff, find the mains stopcock (!?) and go for it!!!

Thanks so much for replying!! :D

Inlet size? Is that the pipe going into the system from the bottom?

Also, the mains water, (sorry!) to turn it off, i presume it's under the kitchen sink ( I've only moved in recently) and is it easy to identify?

Thank you!!
