Dear All,
Thinking ideally we'd like to install underfloor heating to our freezing house. Having a wall removed downstairs (with permission) to make a larger kitchen so thinking underfloor heating through this and the hallway.
Our house has combed cellars under the entire floorspace and our original floors were flags; although many unfortunately broken-and screed laid over by previous owners-now carpeted. Wondering if underfloor is possible in this situation? What sort of total depth would I need to see if this is even a possibility. Assuming I can remove old floor down to top of cellar can I lay insulation on this and go from here?
Also, is underfloor a decent option in an old sanstone draughty number that was designed to breath!
Any help/suggestions welcome,
Thanks in advance,
Stephen
