Hello,

What is the most appropriate way of sealing an old tumble dryer vent hole.

While it will be behind new cabinets (eventually) , the cavity wall where the duct is placed gets exposed to the worst of the weather.

I was thinking of maybe just buying a gravity flap vent fascia from a venting kit on the exterior, polythene stapled to wooden frame in the middle and then cutting a plasterboard disc for the internal wall.

Any help / thoughts / ideas gratefully received.

Just put in a air-vent brick type outside, ventilation won't do any harm, you could have an open/shut vent on the inside for now.
Many types here,
