I need to knock a whole through a cavity wall for a tumble dryer vent.

Cant anyone advise what the neatest way of doing this job would be.

A friend mentioned that I should hire a powerful drill with a special drill bit that would cut a neater hole that a chisel'n hammer. Does anyone know what this bit is called and can they be hired.

The wall is brick exterior, cavity then block on the inside.

Many thanks.

yes, they are called "diamond core cutters" you can get them in all sizes so when hiring you can just hire the one for the t.d vent pipe size

i am not saying buy one, but to see what i mean see here for an example
