urastone pipe

Hello Hope someone can help ..Im building a walk in cupboard, behind the plasterboard I found a urastone vent pipe long disused from a old heating system that was in the house when I moved in years ago. I think it contains asbestos is it safe to handle when dismantling It goes up into the loft then out a vent in the roof What precautions should I take Do I need to get a specialist company in or is it low grade asbestos?

Google HSE advice on asbestos.
If you can wear the right kit, and wiggle the sections out whole, and work within their guidelines, it can be OK. But it's a matter of opinion.
