Vauxhall Astra heating

Hi I have a 2009 Vauxhall Astra sri and the heating on it has broken it starting working on number 4 only then stopped working altogether I was advised to replace the resistor so got a mobile mechanic to do this which he did but this hasn’t fixed it. He mentioned that it has blown something else then started going on about a fuse? But he hasn’t returned to finish the job any ideas what might be the problem?

Have a good look at the plug that pushes onto the resistor. .....notorious for burning.
All the fuses need to be checked, obviously.
