page 14 and IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME as the ttrevi boost on page 27-explain that
Oh. My. God. You really want an explanation? You can't think of one yourself? It doesn't occur to you that because the two valves are made by the same manufacturer that the styling is likely to be the same?

OK Acceptable limits-ok is the trevi boost the same as the croydex venturi? Or is the bars different?
Frankly, I've stopped caring.

Go and phone the manufacturers - at my last attempt Croydex were still answering the phone and supplying advice and spare parts.

As Captain Blackadder would have said - "Clucking Bell".

SUggest you ask the manufacturers for their advice on that.

I mean its quite ridiculous that there are all these showers out there-in Australia u have a shower head, teo tapes that say hot and cold-and guess what they work-thats right a SIMPLE system
No, it depends where you are in Australia!

Just a quick note. The cold pipe presently coming from above is likely to be a balanced cold, you need a mains cold. If the loft is above the bathroom, it is quite a simple job to make the changes to the pipework in the loft.

The Trevi Boost has 22mm connections not 15mm. You would be advised to use 22mm pipework for the hot but 15mm for the cold is OK though in the case of exposed pipework things would look better if both were 22mm.

If your practical abilities are similar to your ability to catch on, you might want to consider accepting a low flow rate and buy any shower that fits.

But his existing shower is a Croydex venturi, so presumably the cold supply is already mains. But I agree that he should get professional advice on this. It's much more complicated that he thinks.

oh woops, thanks for puting that right, truth is i was so stilted by the constant repetition of the same mistaken understanding that I missed the obvious. I must pay more attention.

I thought this was a place u could given ADVICE-I find the comments quite insulting to say the least-I really HATE forums-u would not talk to me like this face to face-Quite simply I am not as "expert" as some of you-I am trying to learn because I am going to attempt to understand such a stupid showering system in this country-as for the guy that said some showers in australia well lets just say in all the places I have lived at the showers are NORMAL(unless u live in Mt Isa or Broken Hill)-and thats maybe-come on guys just tell what I should get or forget it-I mean i have just built a conservatory ON MY OWM-and guess what it is standing and I NEVER HAVE BUILT BEFORE-so if I can do that I think I can handle a shower however "difficult" u say it is-I say again-I have to replace a croydex venturi shower-it worked find untill one day we turned the dial and it made a noise and now no water comes out-so what will I need to replace it? Now the pipework it still there and I have been told a trevi boost will replace it-the other systems do look the same but granted the others might have a different function but thats were u lot come in-if u know that is. If there is a bar pressure diiference with the trevi what does that mean? Surely u can measure the pressure-how do u do that?If I install the shower and its the wrong pressure I presume I will either have a trickle or a flood-Now If I dont get a satisfactory answer I am not going on these ego forums again-I am not stupid, in fact I have two degrees

Now we're really scared...........

..........what if some idiot gives you a satisfactory answer?!!

the last comment........This is what I mean. Just because I say something in these forums all get offensive-If u haven't got the generousity to give ADVICE whats the point of this forum-u can ask me anything to do with my specialist field which is fine art-I would happy to SHARE my knowledge, even though u might not know about it, if this whas a Fine Art forum-such how to stretch a canvas for instance-I wouldn't think any less of u if u wanted knowledge on the subject. I certainly wouldn't insult u for your lack there of.................

come on guys just tell what I should get or forget it
A Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost a Trevi Boost.

I mean i have just built a conservatory ON MY OWM-and guess what it is standing and I NEVER HAVE BUILT BEFORE
In that case you must have had someone read the instructions to you.

so if I can do that I think I can handle a shower however "difficult" u say it is
It's not difficult to replace the shower, it's reading about it that you're struggling with.

I say again-I have to replace a croydex venturi shower
I say again-I have to recommend that you replace it with a Trevi Boost venturi shower.

it worked find untill one day we turned the dial and it made a noise and now no water comes out-so what will I need to replace it?
Perhaps the shower isn't faulty; perhaps there's a blockage. Who knows?

Now the pipework it still there and I have been told a trevi boost will replace it
Really? I think you must have inferred some advice that wasn't really there.

the other systems do look the same but granted the others might have a different function but thats were u lot come in-if u know that is.
What, in the name of all that is holy, are you talking about?

If there is a bar pressure diiference with the trevi what does that mean? Surely u can measure the pressure-how do u do that?If I install the shower and its the wrong pressure I presume I will either have a trickle or a flood-
This is why you need to engage a plumber. Even if the principles were explained to you, you wouldn't read them. Please phone the manufacturers on Monday, and I will pay you good money to hear a recording of the conversations.

Now If I dont get a satisfactory answer I am not going on these ego forums again-
OK - I will gladly send you £1, as these odds are far better than the UK Saturday night lottery.

I am not stupid, in fact I have two degrees
Is that because the third Degree left the band to spend more time with her family?

No - the reason you're getting offensive comments is because you have been told the same incredibly simple things over and over again and still you don't appear to have read them.

If u haven't got the generousity to give ADVICE whats the point of this forum
OK - so I suggest that you have a look at the history of any of the posters on this topic, and then tell us which one hasn't been generous with free advice.

u can ask me anything to do with my specialist field which is fine art-I would happy to SHARE my knowledge, even though u might not know about it, if this whas a Fine Art forum-such how to stretch a canvas for instance-I wouldn't think any less of u if u wanted knowledge on the subject.
OK - here's a question: how did you get two degrees without demonstrating an ability to follow simple instructions?

I certainly wouldn't insult u for your lack there of.................
I don't have a lack of dots, but if I did then I would be happy to be insulted on those grounds.

Softus-what sort of name is that, anyway?
" In that case you must have had someone read the instructions to you".
That is really rude--U are insulting again-u dont get it do u-Yes I know its a trevi boost-
"Perhaps the shower isn't faulty; perhaps there's a blockage. Who knows"
Its not a blockage-Let me tell it slowly-I turned the Dial and it made a srange noise and now it doesn't supply water-that tells me its
b r o k e n
"This is why you need to engage a plumber." well is that u? I wouldn't employ u-as u would insult me-
"Even if the principles were explained to you, you wouldn't read them"
Oh I can read-very well thankyou-
Ok answer this-what is the difference between a trevi boost and a trevi therm expoed? can actually tell me or will u insult me again for not knowing? and what higher education have u completed?

"Is that because the third Degree left the band to spend more time with her family?"
Ah very funny, a sense of humour-but notice how u actually didn't really comment-in fact I am working on a third degree-a masters of education-do u know what that is? Or will I need to read that
I thougt England was different to Australia-I think I am wrong-it certainly has changed-this wouldn't have happened years ago-
It was just a simple question-why do u behave like this?So every plumbing probelm u have to employ a plumber no matter what-isn't that defeating the idea of DIY? Isn't that the name of this forum?Maybe DIYNOT is a good name!
"No - the reason you're getting offensive comments is because you have been told the same incredibly simple things over and over again and still you don't appear to have read them"
I have read it -u dont have to be rude-I understand I just want to clarify it-but because u are insulting and dont care about I am now of the opinion that this is a aste of time because if I dare ask for your advice i need to bow-its the attitude thats stinks not the advice and these school boy bantering on these forums thats quite childish.....
being a fine art that figures-ah right so I have to be a P L U M M E R-hope that wasn't too fast-amazing-u have to be something in order to be accepted-very interesting-so what wrong with fine art-can any of u do it-oh maybe u want some advice some day-I think not!

SO I SAY AGAIN DO U WANT TO HELP ME OR NOT OT SHOULD WE JUST LEAVE IT AT THAT BECAUSE I WANT TO RENOVATE HOUSES IN THE FUTURE WHICH I will do sucessfully and might require plumming advice like central heating-but if its going to be this puffy feather job I not interested-I just want to get on with it-do u know how to design lets say a bathroom? I mean u might be able to install it-but do u know how to stage it? Funny I do-want any advice on this or should I be rude aswell.

DO U WANT TO HELP ME OR NOT
You're a bit slow on the uptake, aren't you. I'll spell it out for you. The answer is "we did try to help you, but we don't want to any more, because you're such a pain in the antipodes".

My problem is the attitude on these forums-maybe we could call it "forum rage"-People seem to vent their anger on innocent folk who just require abit of help-thats all I am asking for-I am brave or foolish if u want to call it but I want to do this for my family-the way its going I am going back to australia anyway because England is too hard-this just adds to it-we cant afford to hire plummers or anything else-fine art doesn'y pay the bills I am afraid and I have to resort to building-pretty sad actually this whole thing-I just thought Engalnd was different but its changed since I was a kid-no doubt about it-so I am doing the house up with my little money and trying to fix the shower the best way I can
