Video Door Phones/Intercoms

I am considering a video system at my home's entry door so I can see who is there outdoors before I open the door.
Looking on Ebay there are many advertised at a range of prices and brand names I do not recognise.
Has anyone any knowledge or experience of these plus recommendation of suppliers and brands please.

Aiphone ....built to last but not cheap ...Bpt,videx , also pretty good , depends on what you want to do with it !
