I have a vokera linea 28 combi boiler, i don't know how old it is but we have lived here for 2 years so at least that old!! It hasnt been serviced since we have had it.

The problem is that the temperature doesnt change when you turn the temperature control knobs. The temperature on the display always reads around 70 when the heating is on and 45-50 when using hot water.

Any ideas on why the temperature controls dont work - could it have anything to do with us having 2 radiators switched off in the house?

Many thanks
Wendy

The controls have more than likely snapped off inside, so turning them will do zilch.

Its probably because the spindle on the knob shaft has been broken by forcing beyond the end stop. That can be confirmed by looking at the pcb from the back if you are competent.

Its unusual for all the shafts to be broken though. The most common one to break first is the function switch.

They are a bit fiddly to replace and that involves moving a PCB with cmos surface mount devices!

However if its working then why bother?
