Just moved house and only put CH on last month. Initially the water pressure too low so had to top up daily as dropping below 1. (No apparent leak)

Then went sky high (the filling loop had NOT been left on) so now have to bleed radiator most days twice daily to keep to safe level. Oddly some days it's inexplicably fine.

Had plumber round who cannot fathom out why either.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a 'expansion vessel' problem, which then leads to a 'pressure relief valve' problem.
Suggest you do a search for 'expansion vessel'

like mandate said- probably expansion vessel
needs recharging with air to take up system expansion & contraction

maybe split diaphram -

or worse case scenario- guessing its a combi - hot water heatexchanger leaking to heating heating circuit
expansion vessels have a tyre vale on them-a bicycle pump will fit as well as tyre gauge to test-its best to isolate boiler (& power down)take pressure off heating circuit within boiler to test or recharge you need to look at what pressures on manufacturers instructions-or side of vessel-not always easy to access
