Hi
I've been asked to fix an electric shower. I've only just qualified in basic plumbing and electric showers weren't part of the ciriculum. There's no water coming out of the shower when you turn it on and I've made the assumption that the valve that controls the flow of water (solenoid valve I think) has broken. How easy are they to replace? And could it be anything else causing the problem?
Cheers
Neil

Failure of the electricity supply to the shower, or the main on/off switch in the shower could cause it too.

do a resistance test on the solenoid coil.
your looking for a reading of around 3.4 kohms.

make sure you isolate the showes power first.

what shower model is it ?
