water not hot enough

We'll like I said, if you have hot water passing through the cylinder for a reasonable length of time, I don't know.

Call a plumber.

well i have fitted a new cylinder thermostat only 14 quid.
the water did feel a touch hotter ?
since then i have turned the boiler up to 78 deg it was 72 deg
it modulates in and out as it always has. i have put the water on now for 3 hours in the morning instead of 2 hours. this has made the water too hot. although i did up the temp on the cylinder thermostat to 70 +

so should i keep the boiler stat at 78 deg and turn down the cylinder stat.
do you think having the boiler on for 3 hours is to long ? prob would not need to use again for that day ?
