Hi all.

I've got a conventional boiler set up and was recently was told that with this type of boiler the upstairs taps shouldn't go cold when the hot water is also turned on downstairs. This doesn't hold true in my house.
Can some informed soul tell me if this should happen or not and if it shouldn't be happening then what can i do to fix it?

Thanks

A bit confused what exactly your problem is ?
With any system, water will run faster at a lower point so there is nothing unusual about the upstairs tap running slower if a downsatirs tap is opened on the same supply.
