Water tank screams when having a bath or long shower

Hi,
When I run a bath/shower and the water tank is filling up, it makes almost like a sceaming sound that is so loud. Had a new ball cock fitted only a couple of years ago. Is this normal?

Most likely a problem with the float valve, if the noise is coming from the storage tank than there's not much else it could be.

After 2 years - and being fitted by a sussex plumber- it`s no surprise

Don't know what your water is like down in sussex, but some areas get through diaphragm washers, quicker than others. Float valve probably ok and you just need a new diaphragm washer. Job done.
