I have discovered a brick well in my victorian garden. It has given me the idea of using some of the water for perhaps flushing the toilets and usind in the washing machine.

Would this be a feasible project to undertake? If so does anyone have any suggestions of what would need to be done to achieve this?

The well appears to be in good condition from what I can see (it is brick built). It is also full of water, but I have not discovered the depth yet or if indeed it is half full of rubble etc.

Thanks

A bucket and a rope would be a good start, get a sample of the water and have it tested

Carefull, you may need a licence from the local water authority to extract the water as you could be lowering the water table. Daft, I know, but thems the rules.
