Saw these on the above web link - cant figure out what they are for.

To hide screw heads that have been sunk into the wood, i.e. not just countersunk, much deeper.

Drill a bigger hole for the plug.

an ugly cork!

The idea being that you buy the right colour to match the wood you have, so it totally blends in. You match the grain direction before putting it in.

The best way is to make your own plugs using offcuts of the exact same wood.
