WHAT TO DO FIRST

Hi all iam looking to block pave my drive and also builed a canopy across the front of the house with colums

The question is what do i do first the drive or the canopy

How do the colums fix to the floor

The canopy first. otherwise you'll make a bit of a mess of your new drive, with cement stains, broken blocks, incorrectly edged areas, etc.

I imagine the columns will be set on concrete foundations.

It depends - are they structural or mainly decorative? Load from canopy? May need 'proper' concrete pads, may need something a bit simpler.

Have been looking on web and have seen some colums that are set on what looks like brick pads think i will go this way say three or four coures of brick deep with 1 core above the block paving if that make sense!
