OK, I have found some offcuts that fit perfectly. Does this look like a good plan?
The tiler actually suggested going level with the bath, but you guys and my plumber both suggest tiling down to bath, so I will go with that.
The wood fits well behind the bath, so with tile backboard screwed on and then taped, it should all look neat and hold well.
One thing I am not sure on is how far out to bring the vertical wood - level with the bath so a side panel could run over it, or level with the tile backer board so it could be tiled around. Thinking the 2nd option as in photo
