Hi guys. I'm changing my central heating pump but am unsure of which make to go for. I've got an old Grundfos that is making funny noises so I reckon it's time for a new one. I've heard that Grundfos and Wilo are pretty good. How about Myson pumps? Are their cp53 or cp63 pumps any good? I've heard either that they're good or they're crap. Don't know who to believe now. Cheers, Jo

Good grief, you're choosing a pump not a wedding partner - Grundfos or Wilo are best.

Wilos wear out rapidly on dirty water
My Myson is about 24 years old, just starting to be audible.

Grundfos, I suppose, but get the best qualilty pump valves you can, then it's easy to change the pump so you can buy £20 pumps not £60 ones. Cheap valves often fail to close, or leak, or both.

Grundfoss head and shoulders above all in my experience.
