Need advice on the following if possible :
I am planning on fitting 3 ceiling extractor fans (around 30w each)
in my new kitchen extension.
My electrician (since disapeared) installed the following into the
kitchen mains ring (which is on a separate fuse, etc) :
MK 1060WHI 13amp switched fused spur connection unit.
He changed the fuse from 13 amps to 3 amps and ran a 1.5mm
cable to the first fan (about 2 metres away from switch).
From there he ran a 1.5mm cable to the next fan (around 3
metres distance) and then to the last (around 4 metres distance).
The 1.5mm wires are plastered into the wall using a metal
channel. From there they run in the ceiling cavity (not insulated
as it is a warm deck roof).
Can anyone comment on the above and advice if I am overloading
the switch/1.5mm cable.
Is a 3amp fuse ok or should I upgrade to 5amps.
Thanks in advance for any reply to the above.
