Wiring a BT Socket

I have been paying the bill, including phone line and broadband.
I don't know how long this phone line has been offline.
I have to try and claim back now.
On the phone with Virgin now.

I am paying Virgin, and my phone is connected into the socket that I have show above. I don't know who that belongs to.

Virgin did a test on the line and says it's all green from their end.

They will send a technician tomorrow.

So you have what appears to be a BT dropwire connected to an unknown socket and you expect Virgin line to work off it?

Expect a big bill from Virgin if nothing is wrong and your plasterer has removed their (Virgin's) socket.

It doesn't look like virgin's cable to me. Although I don't know what the older VM cables look like, only ones going back 5 years

Like the youtube video's back on page 3, with ntl or Virgin Media (or maybe something else) written on them.

The wires inside tend to be orange & blue only (pairs)
