If you look at the two pin plug @ RT 240 on boiler you will see only one terminal is used.
RT 240 to term B of receiver.
Perm live to L of receiver.
Link L to A @ receiver.
The way it's wired at the moment you have no voltage to A due to RT 240 @ boiler being a 'dummy' terminal....In other words NO VOLTAGE.
.........I agree it can be confusing ,we've all done it.
BTW , the right hand terminal @ RT 240 is switched live from stat (B).
